Lillypad My four year old daughter loves it. Big enough for her and another child to get into. Practical table and bench is nice. She loves to have lunch and snacks outside. Umbrella is great for shade in the hot Georgia sun.

Pinky's Mom We love the Play Center Sandbox. The umbrella and bench/table combo is wonderful. My daughter (2 1/2 years old) loves to make sand castles along the table top and the umbrella makes the shade priceless. She loves to sweep off the table with a little outdoor brush that we purchased. Even after a thunderstorm, the cover has not blown off nor has water leaked into the sand. The umbella detaches easily when the wind picks up. The plastic is sturdy even when mom comes to play and the natural color does not clash in the backyard. I only used three 50 lb bags of sand so far which is plenty for a toddler. We are very happy with this purchase.

This is our third Step 2 purchase.

Pezzman The setup is easy and the overall features are great. The kids get a lot of use and the overall durability is good. Unfortunately the latch system provides no use. It bungees on only one side, so the cover does not stay on in windy situations. We had to buy separate bung cords and create our own tie down system. Additionally, almost immediately the cover started warping in the sun, and doesn't sit in place properly so rain gets in. It was good for the price, but if I had the chance again, I would opt for a wooden one even though it would cost a little more.

Mom of 2 This has been a great sandbox! My 5 yr. old son got it for his 1st birthday and has loved it ever since. His sister came along and has never known any other sandbox in her 4 years. It is incredibly sturdy, everything is bolted together, including the table portion. We have not had the umbrella for over a year and nothing has fallen over as written in one review.

As for some cons? Well, the lid is not the best. If you leave it standing to the side while the children play, it will warp a bit in the sun. It will eventually unwarp while it sits flat but when you put it back on the box, it won't fit right until it reshapes itself. Also, my 2 children have physically outgrown being in the box together. They are small for their age but there 2 bodies and 4 legs make it cramped. Oh well, it has been WONDERFUL for 4 years!

MomMom of 3 yr. old After an in-depth investigation & long search, we chose this sandbox for our granddaughter's 3rd birthday gift. It surpassed our expectations in every area. Assembly took 15 minutes; materials are good quality and her eyes lit up when she saw it. She couldn't believe she had a table & umbrella too. Need a van to bring it home from the store. Need to add a few sand toys because those that come with it are small. If purchasing now (end of June) expect to have a hard time finding with most stores sold out but it's worth the search.

CW This is a wonderful outdoor toy for all my kids. Even my older kids are getting inside the box to play and they are ages 2, 10, and 12. The sandbox comes with holes on the side for using bungee cords to hold the lid down, which is great for high wind areas like mine. I highly recommend buying 3 cords for the lid. It was so easy to assemble and was ready to go within 10 min.! I am very pleased with this product and def. recommend getting it even if your just thinking about it. I researched every sand box out there, and this is the best deal since your also getting the picnic table and umbrella! My 10 yr. old can fit on the picnic bench still, so this is something you will use for years...

Proud Momma This is a great product! My 5 year old son loves it! We've had it for 2 years now and it's still in GREAT shape! My only complaint is about the cover. It is a bit flimsy and will cave in if a child steps on top of it. We also use a bungee cord to hold the cover on in the event of strong winds but other than that, it's great! I am laughing at the review below (posted on 5/27/08 by Stay at home mom from IL! She states that the umbrella is what holds the table in place! That is not true!!!! If you read the directions, the table is secured onto the bench and sandbox with screws!!!!! My son and his friends have stood on top of the table and it will NOT go anywhere!!!!!!!!

curlylocks1976 This is an awesome set! I purchased this when my daughter was one and a half...2 years ago. Ours is a slightly different color combo...the table part and umbrella are burgundy/red. It has held up beautifully and has been outside constantly, even in winter. There is no fading and nothing has cracked or been damaged! The bolts havn't even rusted! Four kids can sit at the table, and it rinses off easily after messy projects and lunches. We use the sandbox as a pool though...and it's awesome because of the drain and the hard plastic cover. Truthfully, I let it drain partially and then pick it up from the side and dump it...it's really easy to clean with Lysol and rinse in this position! We use a 20 ft long "Python" hose set (supposed to be for fish tanks)to fill the pool from the kitchen sink with hot water, so even if it was cooler out last summer it was like a hottub for my daughter! She frequently even took a bath for the night in it too! Can't say enough good things about this!

Sue My kids love this product and the dimensions are perfect for toddlers. They are able to get in and out on their own and two toddlers fit very comfortably inside and on the benches. The lid isn't secured on and just sits on top of the box, but it hasn't been problematic at all. The recommended amount of sand is 50lbs and we thought that it wasn't enough as it only fills about 1/4 of the box, but as it turned out, it was just fine - and we've had this item for over a year and even though my kids pour sand out of the box constantly, there is still plenty of sand left for play and we have not bought more.
