Margaret I want one for myself!

GrandmaRo It's a very pretty chest--color and design impressed me. Very functional. Should last for years as a storage place for my granddaughter's toys and stuff. I like the safety hinge on the lid that prevents the lid slamming shut.

Anne Girl This toy chest is absolutely awesome! I bought the cherry finish, and it is quite simply one of the most beautiful and durable pieces of furniture I have ever seen, especially for children. It also has a safety feature which will not allow the lid to slam shut on little heads or fingers; after reading about a tragedy because a lid DID slam on a child, that safety feature was an absolute must for me. Every part of the chest included (for assembly by the buyer) is made of the highest quality materials, including the bolts and screws. All the wooden panels are SOLID wood, and the fiberboard for the bottom and back is solidly made. The metal components to assemble the chest are made of the highest grade steel, not cheap junk to save a buck. Assembly is straightforward, and the whole thing goes together easily and well. My only complaint is that a critical point about tightening bolts appears at the very end of the instruction sheet, in small letters. This information should be displayed at the beginning, and it should emphasize that care be taken NOT TO TIGHTEN ALL THE BOLTS AT ONCE. A slight amount of "give" at each point of assembly is necessary to allow for adjustment at critical junctures; when the chest is entirely assembled, all bolts can then be tightened securely. Also, the instructions should stress that when the steel pin (mounted at the corner of the lid) is inserted in its hole, a soft strap should be used to hold the lid in place until it is secured by the final end piece. Otherwise, the lid tends to fall outward, and can damage the hole in the wood where the pin was inserted. In spite of these two points I highly recommend this toy chest for its quality and beauty, and if these tips are followed assembly should be a piece of cake. Overall, I regard this toy chest as one of the best buys I've ever made. Everyone who saw the assembled chest at a baby shower commented on its beauty; I was so impressed that I bought a second one for another grandchild. I can say unequivocally that the parents of these children (including the guys) were also thrilled.

Bob We love the toybox, it is a piece of furniture that our grandson will not outgrow quickly. It is a very practical and well made item for the money.

Carol We bought this for our daughter's first baby. It is just perfect in the nursery and they love the fact that the lid doesn't slam down. Its just the right size!

Wyatt We like the sturdiness, and that it does not allow our son to pinch his hand in the lid when closing.

Ms OceanLady The toy box [...]. It was easy to assemble. The finish was beautiful. An excellent buy!

Christine This was an early first birthday gift for my granddaughter. Since they live on the other side of the country, I had it shipped directly to them. It arrived exactly when promised and it was easy to assemble. My daughter sent me an email saying "we LOVE it!" She liked the fact that it was also a bench. She was very impressed with the quality and feels that this toychest is something that my granddaughter will likely have for many many years to come. A very successful Grammy's gift indeed.

mom the shopper This product is great. It is very durable my 2 year old sits on it and it hasn't scrathched. I like the way the lid stays open once opened. You don't have to worry about it shutting.

Excellent product. I have bought two of them so far. I even gave away one as a gift.
